It is licensed under the Investment Funds Act, 2019 of The Bahamas. Agio holds delegated authority to license SMART Funds, and licensing can be completed in as little as 2–4 weeks.

What is the difference between a SMART Fund and a Professional Fund?

A Professional Fund targets institutional and accredited investors with higher minimums ($500,000+) and broader investment flexibility. A SMART Fund suits smaller or emerging funds. Professional Fund licensing typically takes 4–8 weeks.
